A kind, loving family is looking to hire a flexible, caring, intelligent Nanny to join their home in Washington, D.C. – GREAT BENEFITS!

The Ideal Candidate: This family is looking for a wonderful nanny for their 2 little girls (9 months and 3 years) in Northwest DC for the long term. They have extended family (grandparents) that visit often and stay for extended periods of time so their nanny must be comfortable with having lots of family around at various times and understand that the grandparents will be visiting and in the home. Mom and Dad both work from home and will also be present in the home during the day. Flexibility, cooperation, and adaptability are key! Work hours will vary based on when the grandparents are visiting and when they are not, so the nanny must be happy with varying work hours but there can be some guarantees in place (to be determined). Responsibilities will include: engaging the children in creative, age- and developmentally-appropriate activities, driving the toddler to and from morning pre-school, doing the children's laundry, helping the family with cooking and other household tasks, and helping keep the home neat and tidy. The nanny must be a safe driver, own a safe car and be willing to drive the kids.

What Works Best for Family: A loving nanny who is hard-working, organized, and reliable. Someone who is flexible and adaptable and understands the family's needs while also taking initiative as appropriate. The nanny must be comfortable with the following: a no-screen policy; a vegetarian home (including for nanny during work hours); parents who often work from home; often visiting and involved grandparents. Someone who is happy to work with the parents (and the grandparents, when they're visiting) as a team — e.g., if the parents or grandparents are with the girls, the nanny can help with other family tasks (cooking, cleaning, laundry) while the kids are occupied. A cooperative nanny with a positive attitude who is a team player and who loves being around a big, loving family is a great match! The family wants their nanny to feel part of the team and understand the family dynamic. A great communicator with a good heart, who can be gentle but firm (when needed), is warm, happy, and positive and who wants to grow with a kind, loving, happy family for years to come. The ideal is that there's a fluidity and flow and things just seamlessly work.

Position Requirements
Work Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM (will fluctuate when GP are in town visiting)
Languages: Needs to speak fluent English (family also speaks French, Spanish, Italian, and a few other languages, so those are welcome as second languages)

References: Minimum of 2 References
Background: Pass stringent background checks and drug testing upon offer of hire
