About the job

A very nice and easy-going family is looking for a long-term, full-time, live-in nanny, in the Irvington area of Westchester, NY. The live-in set-up can be just Monday through Friday, or 100% live-in- they are not offering relocation. The live-in accommodations are a very nice finished basement with a bedroom and bathroom. The role starts mid-August or at the beginning of September. The family includes the mother, father, a 5-year-old, a 2-year-old, and a newborn (born June). They do have a housekeeper, and a newborn care specialist who will be with them through the summer.

The nanny must have several years of experience caring for infant through elementary age children in a private residence. This person will care for the children, engage with them by coming up with activities, nurture their development, cook for the them, help with school/activity drop-off/pick-up, and help with light housekeeping duties (including doing the kids laundry). The 5-year-old will be starting kindergarten (full-day), and the 2-year-old will be starting preschool (half day).

The nanny must be warm, loving, and caring, have common sense, be outgoing, know how to maintain boundaries, and must be a good communicator. The parents want and appreciate complete transparency.

Hours will ideally be Monday through Friday, helping get the kids up and ready in the morning, with a break in the middle of the day, then starting up again until they go to bed. The family is offering 3-weeks PTO, paid sick/personal days, paid federal holidays, and a performance-based yearly bonus.

The nanny must drive and will have access to the family vehicle, for work purposes. It will be a bonus if you know how to swim. The nanny should be willing and able to travel domestically and/or internationally. The nanny must be COVID, TDAP, and Flu vaccinated. You must have a valid U.S. Passport, valid Green Card, or valid EAC to apply for this role. If interested, apply to VV166.
