Busy, Active Family is looking to hire a Flexible, Organized, and Caring Nanny to join their home in Manhasset, NY – Special Needs Experience Preferred

The Ideal Candidate: This family is looking for an energetic, active, and loving childcare provider to help with their 4 active boys (ages 14, 12, 10 & 7). The oldest boy has special needs so someone that is caring and will play/engage with all kids, including their special needs child, and his home-based therapy team is key! Prior special needs experience is a huge plus! Will train the nanny in their son's specific needs. Dad works outside of the home full-time and mom is at home most of the time & is a hands-on mom, so this person must be comfortable with having mom around. Your day will begin and end later because the need is really for help in the afternoon and evenings since the boys are all school-age. Daily Needs: The kids are in camp/school until about 3 pm, so you will arrive a couple of hours before the kids get home from camp/school to help with some duties around the house (i.e. light housekeeping, laundry, meal prep for dinner, and other tasks as needed). When the kids come home from their various camps or school, you would be responsible for driving kids to/from extracurricular activities, various sporting events, playing/engaging with them at home, helping prepare/cook and getting them ready for dinner, helping with homework, etc.

What Works Best for Family: The ideal candidate will be positive & outgoing with a warm, and friendly demeanor. Someone who is energetic and active to meet the needs of their 4 boys is key! A Nanny who is confident, independent & well-organized but has a cooperative attitude and is comfortable having mom in the home on a regular basis would make the best match. Someone who can multi-task is important too! Mom would like someone who can be firm, when the kids try to push, but also fun and kind. An excellent communicator who is flexible & adaptable, and who is comfortable being around a big, busy family of active boys coming & going, and someone who is part of, as mom describes it "the team effort" will thrive in this role for years to come!

Current Staff: Housekeeper (once/week) for deep cleaning

Housekeeping: Light Housekeeping Required
Cooking: Help Start/Prep for Dinner, Cooking for Children's Meals. Family Meals, as needed.

Errands: No Errands Required
Driving: Required
Travel: No Travel Required but may be opportunities to travel if needed
