A kind, loving family of three, and their friendly dog, are seeking a motivated, nurturing nanny to care for their 1-year-old son. They live approximately 10 miles outside of D.C.
Their happy, 1-year old is mobile and exploring the world around him. He enjoys music, walks in the neighborhood, books, and playing with his dog. Mom and dad work from home in separate office spaces.
This position is ideal for a candidate who is easily motivated, collaborative, and nurturing. A positive, can-do attitude is key, as is creating a stimulating environment for their son to thrive. This role is heavily childcare focused, with the expectation being that the nanny will engage with the child, plan, and carry out age-appropriate activities, and be active in the child's development to achieve milestones. The ideal candidate will also be nurturing and caring such to provide the child with security and to fit in this warm household. The position requires typical child-related tidying, child meal prep, child laundry duties, and the ideal candidate will be a self-starter who takes initiative with these tasks.
In addition to Pink Nannies standard requirements, the family is requiring:
· Valid driver’s license & reliable vehicle (the family does not live within walking distance of a metro station)
· Currently fully COVID-19 vaccinated & boosted (if eligible)
· Note: All eligible household members are fully vaccinated against COVID-19
Schedule:
The schedule is full-time, guaranteeing 45 hours/week, with the general schedule falling on Mondays through Fridays, 9 hours/day, from 7:30/8am to 4:30/5pm. The family is slightly flexible on a start time of 7:30am or 8am.
Compensation:
The family is offering a competitive hourly rate, commensurate with experience.
All rates are commensurate with experience, credentials, longevity with past employers, and level of completed education.
Benefits:
The family is open to providing benefits including a signing bonus equivalent to 2 weeks salary, a monthly healthcare stipend, generous paid time off, paid major holidays, and mileage reimbursement at the IRS rate (62.5 cents/mile) for on-the-job travel.
