Nanny / Family Assistant in Danville, CA

Location: Danville (Diablo), CA, 94528
Schedule: 25 hours per week guaranteed
Compensation: $35-$40/hour DOE + paid sick days, vacation days, and holidays
A wonderful, friendly family in Danville (Diablo) is looking for an active and fun family assistant. They would love to work with someone long-term and someone comfortable taking charge of the home, while also being supportive and caring to their two children (ages 5 and 9). The family can guarantee up to 25 hours/week with a schedule of 3 days a week, 2-7pm, one additional evening, and 5 hours on a weekend day or evening.



The ideal candidate is a great communicator, engaging, great with school-age children, collaborative, and can take the initiative. Someone who brings to the job positive energy and an eagerness to support the family will be perfect for this family.



Duties include daily tidying and organizing (no detailed cleaning required, as they have regular house cleaners), running errands, grocery shopping, simple meal preparation for the children, and family laundry/dishes. After school hours will include school pick-up, driving or walking the children to their after-school activities, watching/swimming with the children, and homework assistance, as needed.



Requirements:

At least 1 year of paid, professional family assistant experience and at least 3 years of paid, professional childcare experience that occurred over the age of 18 (not for family or friends) with excellent references

Can make at least a one-year commitment

Valid driver’s license, personal vehicle, and a strong driving record

Covid vaccinated and boosted (once eligible)

Legal work authorization in the U.S.

English fluency
