Live in Nanny in Ojai, California

LIVE IN/OUT

Caring for a 5 year old boy,

Starting either end of August or mid-October,

45 hour flexi week, including weekends,

Guaranteed 1.5 days off a week, except when travelling,

Live-in or live-out,

Live-in is separate room and bathroom within a large house,

Located in Ojai, California.



Looking for a gentle, curious and creative nanny that can hold boundaries,

-Bilingual in Spanish and English to continue the boy's language development,

-Someone interested in permaculture, farming and gardening a bonus,

-A conscious and present person.



This holistic family is looking for another open hearted, inquisitive yet independent team member to help raise an active, curious boy. The family are passionate about locally grown, organic food and would love for you to be as well. Mom used to study naturopathy and teach yoga and would love another person in the house who is in line with their lifestyle. The boy went to RIE classes when he was younger and they are familiar with alternative education methods.



Duties:

Encourage the boy's language by speaking in Spanish while engaging with him.

Have an interest in and understanding in locally sourced organic food and at least one of the following skills: cooking, gardening or teaching, share this interest with the boy, show him how to garden, take care of the land and/ or how to prepare it to eat.

Occasional overnight care of the boy when mom is travelling for work.

Travelling with mom and son both nationally and occasionally internationally.



Must be able to drive, a car can be provided.
