Location: Brookhaven, GA

Start Date: Around August 23, 2022

Schedule: Monday/Wednesday/Friday 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM; Tuesday/Thursday 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM. The nanny is also needed work until 6:30 PM one night per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday). Must have flexibility to work full days on Tuesday or Thursday when school is closed for teacher workdays or school breaks. The family is guaranteeing 40 hours per week, though some weeks will offer more hours.

Ages of Children: 3-year-old boy and 1 1/2 year-old girl

Pets: One cat; no pet care needed

Compensation and Benefits:

Rate of 25+ per hour, depending on experience; time and a half paid for over 40 hours worked in a one-week period

10 days paid vacation, 5 paid sick days, major holidays off work with pay, and a mileage reimbursement

All positions available through Your Happy Nest offer legal pay, and the family will provide a W-2 at the end of the year.

Position Details:

This position is an amazing opportunity for an energetic, hands-on, and highly engaging nanny who wants to build a deeply connected relationship with the family’s two active children. The family had a wonderful relationship with their previous nanny in Chicago, and their hope is to find a nanny who will be stay with them longterm and develop a “part of the family” relationship.

The 3-year-old attends school five mornings per week, and the toddler is in school Tuesday and Thursday mornings. The nanny will be needed for drop-offs and pick-ups each day, so a reliable car and a safe driving history are required. The family also encourages fun outings and adventures to local attractions (the zoo, aquarium, parks, etc.) and would love for the nanny to plan playdates and other social opportunities with other nannies.

The family values creating an education-rich environment for their little ones. Their dream nanny will plan fun daily activities focused on their growth and development and will take time to plan projects and outings geared toward their individual interests. The ideal candidate for this position has the ability to think ahead, embrace teachable moments, and facilitate educational play. Arts and crafts, imaginative play, and outdoor play are encouraged!

Household tasks include the children’s laundry, meal and snack prep for the children, loading and unloading the dishwasher, grocery shopping, and general tidiness throughout the day. The family would love for the nanny to work with their children so they learn how to clean up after themselves as well. A proactive mindset and general willingness to pitch in as needed is appreciated!

The family is hoping to have a third child in the near future and would love to find a nanny who is excited to stay and grow with their family longterm.

Nanny Requirements:

Must have a flexible schedule

Must have a safe driving history, a reliable car, and willingness to transport the children as needed.

Must be cat friendly

Must be Covid vaccinated, willing to get an annual flu shot, and willing to get a TDAP vaccination if the family has another child

Able to manage the needs of multiple young children

Reasonable tech savvy and able to communicate with parents via text

Comfortable with a parent who works from home 2-3 days per week in a private office

Reliability, punctuality, and excellent communication skills are a must for this position
