Description
A family of 4 in Menlo Park is in search of a bright, engaging nanny to care for their two lovely girls (almost 4 and 7.5 years old). Their kids have big, fun personalities. Their youngest daughter is enjoys dressing up, painting her nails, and imaginative play. She is enrolled in summer school in the mornings and then in the fall will be in two part-time daycare programs (one in the morning and another in the afternoon). Their eldest is very intelligent and loves dancing, reading, art, cartwheeling, and being outside.

Their current nanny is retiring and has been with them since their 7 year old was born, so they’re looking for their next long-term person who will ideally stay with their family for many years to come.

Their ideal person works well independently and is a confident decision maker but is also collaborative and follow parent preferences. Someone who can create structure, who is very reliable, and has excellent judgment will be the best fit for them.

This position can guarantee 40+ hours depending on the candidate’s preference. They need coverage from 7:30 a.m. to 8/8:30 p.m. so they’ll be looking for a second part-time person to complement the full-time schedule. They could do something like 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. or 7:30 a.m. to 3:30/4:30 p.m.

The family is also open to someone living-in so they could also do a split-shift schedule for a nanny interested in living onsite. Accommodations for live-in include a private bedroom and bathroom adjacent to the house with direct access to the family kitchen.

Experience Requirements
5 years minimum experience working as a private nanny with excellent verifiable references
Educational Requirements
Fluency in English

CPR Certified
Valid driver with clean record (family can provide vehicle for work-related use)
Ability to swim / supervise in the pool
