Part time Nanny in Upper Arlington, Ohio

Start: August 2022 (COVID-19 Vaccine Required)

Schedule: 17.5 guaranteed hours/week Mondays through Fridays from 2pm to 5:30pm + optional hours

Children: 6-year-old and 3-year-old twins

Compensation: $25-$27/hour + Bonus

A friendly, active family of five, and their mini–Australian Shepard, is seeking a reliable and patient nanny to care for their three children after school in Upper Arlington, Ohio. They have a 6-year-old and 3-year-old twins.


Their 6-year-old son is entering first grade this fall. He enjoys all sports, video games, and playing the piano & guitar. His mom describes him as the “peace maker” of the family! Their 3-year-old daughter will start school, full-time, this fall. She enjoys all things pink, pretend play, princesses, playing dress-up, arts & crafts, and coloring. She learns best with her hands and through sensory play. She recently started dance lessons. She is very friendly and makes friends easily. Her twin brother will also attend school full-time in the fall. He walks to the beat of his own drum and works best with someone who is patient. He loves trucks, pretend play, and sports. This family is very active and enjoys swimming, tennis, and going for walks. The kids like to visit pet stores and see animals and they enjoy going out for ice-cream! The family has a small dog (mini-Australian Shepard), so please be pet friendly!


This position is ideal for the candidate who is reliable, patient, and friendly. This is a dual-physician household, so punctuality, reliability, and timeliness are a must! The family hopes to work with someone who can follow a schedule, but also someone who can be flexible within that schedule. Responsibilities will include picking up the children from school, preparing snacks, helping with homework, and getting the children dressed for sports and other activities.


Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of recent, professional, paid childcare experience

High school diploma

Valid driver’s license

At least 21 years of age

Dog friendly

Currently fully COVID-19 vaccinated & boosted (if eligible)

Note: All eligible household members are fully vaccinated against COVID-19

Schedule:

The schedule is part-time, guaranteeing 17.5 hours/week, with the general schedule falling on Mondays through Fridays from 2pm to 5:30pm. Optional full-time hours are available during the month of August, school breaks, and summers (Monday-Friday 8:45am-5:30pm), but these are not a requirement.



Compensation:

The family is offering $25-$27/hour, based on 17.5 hours/week which equates to $437-$472/week.

All rates are commensurate with experience, credentials, longevity with past employers, and level of completed education.

Benefits:

The family is open to providing benefits including a performance-based bonus after six months equivalent to 1-2 weeks salary, generous paid time off, paid major holidays and a family vehicle for professional use.
