Live in Nanny Upper East Side, New York City

A kind family of four on the Upper East Side is seeking a live-in nanny for their two children, ages 8 and 6. The ideal schedule for this position is Wednesday at 3pm until Monday at 8am, but these times can be flexible for the right candidate. Accommodations for this position are a private room within the apartment.

Job duties for this role include everything to do with the children. Both are in school full-time, and on school days the nanny will be responsible for getting them up in the morning and prepared for school, as well as picking them up, accompanying them to extracurricular activities, assisting with homework, and supervising dinner and bedtime routines. While the children are in school the nanny will manage laundry, errands and organization projects, some dog care, children's meal prep, and other child-related tasks. There will also be down-time during the school day for the nanny. The family has a housekeeper, so no deep cleaning is required, but the family would like to find a nanny who is willing to assist with family laundry and keeping common areas tidy throughout the day. On weekends, the nanny will plan activities and outings for the children and will keep them engaged throughout the day. The ideal candidate for this role will have experience with older children, and will be proactive, fun, and responsible.
