NAPA, CA- OPEN TO NATIONWIDE SEARCH: Amazing family is searching for a team-oriented nanny to join a Woodside/Napa based family with two very happy boys (2.5 years and 9-months). Primary responsibility is for the 9 month old while being flexible and supporting the family and senior nanny who is focused on the growth and development of the 2.5 year old. The 2.5 year old has a very busy schedule with various therapies (developmental delay) and will be going to pre-school this fall with senior nanny joining him in school. The 9 month old is not showing any signs of developmental delay and meeting all milestones. Looking for someone that is active, cheerful, a natural teacher/planner, and works well with others. Mom and dad are home often and hands on. COVID Vaccine + Booster is a must and someone that is more on conservative side of exposure until children can be vaccinated. The following represents a typical schedule. Employer will limit fluctuations as much as possible and provide as much notice as possible: Sun Begin: 9:00 am End: 7:00 pm Daily Hours 8 Mon Begin: 9:00 am End: 7:00 pm Daily Hours 8 Tue Begin: 9:00 am End: 7:00 pm Daily Hours 8 Wed Begin: 9:00 am End: 7:00 pm Daily Hours 8 Thur Begin: 9:00 am End: 7:00 pm Daily Hours 8. Total Weekly Working Hours = 40 (daily hours above include 2 hour break while child/children are napping, exact time may fluctuate day to day depending on nap schedules).
Responsibilities include but may not be limited to the following:
Physical care of children
Communicating with Employer on all aspects of the care of the child (or children)
Support all needs related to childcare such as feeding, changing diapers, dressing, bathing, soothing, putting the child to bed/nap, and keeping child clean and safe
Support all needs related to child development such as sleep training, fine and gross motor skill development, feeding, speech, and potty training
Planning, preparing and cooking well-balanced and nutritious meals and beverages appropriate to the age and needs of the child
Feeding and teaching the child to use eating utensils and cups
Cleaning child’s dishes and sterilizing bottles and breast pump parts
Completing child’s laundry and preparing the child’s clothing
Maintaining the child’s room, playroom and other play areas, ensuring a stimulating yet calm, safe, organized and clean environment
Providing activities for the holistic development of the child such as reading and other learning and mental stimulation including books, music, crafts, and art
Being responsible for all equipment related to the care of the child, including the cleaning and maintenance of items such as toys, car seats, strollers,
Exercising with child, walking, hiking, and indoor/outdoor play
Taking the child on outings appropriate to their age and stage of development (such as playgroup, music class, preschool, )
Attending and driving to appointments and other activities as needed with Employer
Preparing and assisting Employer for special occasions and events such as a birthday party
Administering vitamins, probiotic, and caring for the child when they are unwell, which may include administering medicine(s)
Traveling with the child and preparing for holidays, weekend visits ; packing bags, cleaning toys, ordering anything in advance for the destination, unpacking upon return, etc.
Completing childcare documentation (when needed) in order to keep the Employer informed about the child or children’s care, wellbeing and development
Light housekeeping during downtime (emptying dishwasher, tidying up common spaces), occasionally running errands as needed by Employer
Other job requirements:
Required to be up to date on immunizations, including COVID vaccine and booster
Required to hold adult & child, and infant first aid/CPR/AED certification, a copy of which must be supplied to the Employer and updated every three years or upon expiration
Required to hold a valid passport and be ready to travel by mutual agreement and reasonable advance notice
Any credit card supplied to the Employee by the Employer shall be used only for expenses related to the care of the child or children and the Employee must provide documentation/receipts of expenses
COMPENSATION, BENEFITS & LODGING
Employee will receive the following compensation
Regular rate of pay = $30-$35 per hour
Relocation assistance, healthcare, and housing stipend
Holiday, sick leave, and vacation days offered
Bonuses and pay increases to be discussed annually
Employer will provide Employee stocked kitchen for breakfast, lunch and snacks during working hours
Employer will provide a vehicle for driving to activities
Employee has access to gym, pool, and spa during breaks and time off
This is a live out position but when in Napa, Employee will reside at Employer’s property and Employer will provide Employee with a separate bedroom
