Fantastic opportunity has arisen for an educationally focused Nanny/Governess in Mayfair – Term time only (Pro-rata salary)

Job Summary: An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an educationally focused Nanny/Governess to support a family with three children in Mayfair, London. The family who has lived overseas in recent times are now primarily living in their London residency and are seeking a wonderful candidate to support their three children’s learning and development within the realms of the U.K. education system. The children are aged between 8 and 9 years of age and attend a school locally. The family have a fully staffed home including 2 cleaners and a house manager. The home is situated in a great location, just a short distance from Hyde Park. The family travel during the school holidays and as such this role will be on a term time basis. The candidate is to be punctual and reliable, with extremely strong communication skills, and a positive disposition. The candidate will encourage the children to become independent and support the preparation for the 8+ and 11+ exams.

Duties

To help the children with any gaps, ensure they are comfortable with Maths/English/Comprehension/Writing.
Ensure health and wellbeing of the children.
Prepping for 8+ and 11+
Ensure children maintain great academic progress.
Maintain the children after school schedules/clubs/activities.
Support the children in becoming more independent and helping them lay out uniforms for the next day and preparing bag and homework for the next day.
Developing holistic and well-rounded students with good written, verbal & social skills.
Encourage love of reading and deep conversations & challenging discussions.

Candidate requirements:

Minimum 3 years’ experience supporting children of similar age and education targets
Someone who can offer longevity to the position
Holds a recent first aid certificate
