About the job
Seeking a pro-active, live-in career nanny for a lovely but busy west London family. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 7.30am - 7.30pm, with preference given to flexible candidates who are open to babysitting at least one night per week.
Duties will include preparing breakfast for the two children (aged 4 and 7), taking them to school, keeping their areas clean and tidy, keeping on top of their laundry and ironing, provisioning and meal prep, picking the children up from school and taking them to any activities, supervising and supporting music practice and homework and helping them with the evening routine of bath and bedtime and making sure their clothes and bags are ready for the next day. This is a busy role for a fantastic nanny who can step up and take on all week-day responsibilities pertaining to the children's care, education, health and well-being, and social life!
The ideal candidate has bags of initiative, only needs to be told something once and stays one step ahead at all times. Please be organised, prepared, tidy, capable and able to self-direct - this is not a role for someone who needs to be micro-managed. The two boys are active, spirited, loving and affectionate, so you will need to be great at hugs but equally good at setting boundaries and being firm when necessary. They love their sport, but they also enjoy reading, art and crafts and music (amongst many other things!), so someone who can get down to their level, can play and create with them, engage with their interests and who can really encourage and support their development would be ideal. The elder child will be taking competitive tests shortly, so you must also be confident at supporting his prep and revision, with scheduling it into his week days and with some extra tutoring if need be.
Accommodation is on the top floor of the house, separate from the rest of the family, and includes a large bedroom (with TV) and a bathroom. The family would prefer a driver and you will need to be extremely good at English in order to help with prep and tutoring. If you are interested in the role, are COVID-vaccinated and are legal to work in the UK, please apply to ZI126.
