Part time Nanny in Caldicot, Monmouthshire, Wales

Caring for boy 26 months,

2 days a week, possibly building to 3-4 days a week, around 6-8 hours a day plus occasional babysitting at night 1-2 a month,

Located: Caldicot, Monmouthshire, Wales (NP26).

Looking for a gentle, respectful, spiritual nanny who is familiar with RIE/Pikler or has a keen interest to further their knowledge in respectful care approaches. Someone also with a background in Forest School/Steiner Waldorf is desirable. Someone who uses sensitive observation, appreciation for independent/non-directed play and non-violent communication.

Duties:
Gentle/respectful care routines,
Supporting a child-led day, following the boy's lead and daily rhythms,
Using sensitive observation,
Offering 100% undivided attention,
Following and expanding on the boy's interests through play and engaging activities,
Adventures in nature and the wilderness,
Cooking healthy vegetarian meals and snacks (no cow's milk).

As educators the family follow the practice and principles of RIE and Pikler. They are committed to re-parenting and decolonising their mental beliefs in order to hold space where their son can be his authentic self, where they can develop long-lasting healthy relationships as a family. They are a spiritual family. The family is interested in the unschooling approach for their son and themselves in the future.

Both mum and dad work part-time.

Spanish speaker would be a plus to support the boy's bilingual language development.

Driver essential, the family can provide a car for the nanny to use. Parking is also available for the nanny's car.

Non-smoker.

Salary: Up to £1000 gross/ month depending on skills and attributes.
