Live in nanny role – family building separate nanny annex! Last nanny stayed 5 years.

Job Summary: Busy young family with 4 children (1yr, 2.5yr, 4.5 & nearly 8). Eldest child is there part time, mostly weekends & holidays. Three children requiring a full-time nanny, two go to a wonderful nursery 8.30am – 3.30pm daily. Both parents work demanding jobs and are looking for an incredible live-in nanny to ensure the children get the attention and routine they need to feel confident and happy in our hectic schedules.

The role will be primarily childcare with nursery duties. Their current nanny has been with them for nearly 5 years but is relocating to Brazil. Keen to find a new loving nanny who cares greatly for the children and their emotional and physical development as well as their educational needs.

Accommodation: Lovely attic conversion with private bathroom (including shower) – in the new property there will be an external nanny annex.

General duties:

Support development and learning of the children
Running errands (i.e., collecting medication when needed, ordering school uniforms, etc)
Preparing children for school (dressing, hair, organising school bags & snack box)
Taking children to doctor appointments as required
Keeping up to date with school calendar & programmes to ensure required tasks are completed as needed by the school (i.e., pay & pack for field trips, returning library books, afterschool clubs, etc.)
Drop off and collect children from nursery
Organise weekly food shop for the Children’s meals, cook & prepare meals at home
Organise after school activities, avoiding screen time where possible
Clean & organise children’s laundry & bedlinen
Tidy & organise children’s toys (with a strong emphasis on the children helping in this)
Joining family holidays as required (packing and unpacking their suitcases)
Attending baby groups with our youngest child, arranging playdates
Language development, potty-training and encouraging physical development (ie, outdoor play)
Taking children to extracurricular activities in week when required

Candidate requirements:

Animal lover as a young beagle dog in the home
DBS check required at offer stage
Experience in a similar role with a large family
Good attention to detail and hard working
Confident driver with licence
A developmentally focused nanny candidate
Valid first aid training
