Job Summary: This lovely, relaxed family are looking for a fun, organised, kind and caring nanny for their two children. Their son is 6 and in full time school and their daughter is 8 months old and is at home. Both children are happy, healthy and in a good routine. The little boy loves being outside, climbing, roller blading, riding his bike and generally being active, but also enjoys his cars and Lego. Their daughter is loving her playdates and various classes, she is innately curious and happy going on excursions. The family would also like their nanny to travel on some international holidays and they do not have any pets.
General duties:
Mainly sole charge- parents are hands on but this will be sole charge for the most part
All nursery duties
Managing the children dairy’s
Laundry and putting their clothes away
Preparing healthy balance meals for the children
Looking into local classes and events that the baby can attend
School runs
Helping with reading and spelling
Travelling on international holidays
Planning age-appropriate activities for both children
Candidate requirements:
A childcare qualification or formal training is a must
A good understanding and passion for working with children of similar ages, including routines, activities, and developmental stages
You will be confident and able to act on your own initiative
Highly organised with excellent communication skills- you will be working closely with the parents to provide the best level of care for the children
Discreet and respectful of the family home and to maintain professional boundaries
A driver would be desirable but not essential.
Ability to travel freely overseas
An understanding of nutrition and able to prepare healthy meals
Working in a team, the family employs a PA/house manager who has a lovely relationship with the children, and daily cleaners
Fluent English written and verbal skills are important for speech development and to be able to help with homework
DBS check required at offer stage
