Governess or Governor in London Bridge, London SE1

A lovely family is looking for a highly educated and experienced Governess/Governor to look after 13 years old boy. The boy will move to the UK to start school in year 9 in September this year and will stay until Sixth Form. He will be attending Sevenoaks School in Kent (not boarding). As parents will not be in the UK, a full-time governess/governor will ensure he settles into school life and copes well academically, overall monitor his academic progress and provide tutoring assistance where needed/alert teachers where appropriate. Provide social, etiquette and moral guidance, encourage a range of extracurricular activities and friendships at school, monitor online activity and overall friendships/relationships in a general way to ensure he is not in danger, and supervise him after school including ensuring homework is completed, including taking into account his school and extra curricular after school activities – at least 4 times a week, also manage food shopping and cooking. Sevenoaks School is Monday to Saturday. Working days will be 7 days a week during the term time and the governess/governor will have time off during school holidays including the half term breaks (it will be fully paid) as the boy will most likely come back to Hong Kong. Salary offered £1,100 – £1,500 per week. Interviewing now. Long term contract.
