We have an amazing opportunity for an experienced, high-level Governess/Children’s PA for a HNW businessman to support him in the care of his two children, aged 9 and 14. Our client is a highly successful and busy businessman who is looking to appoint a cool, confident, robust and caring Governess/PA to play an important part in the management, scheduling and guidance of the children’s lives.
We are looking for a childcare professional who will positively influence and guide the children on a daily basis and instil and maintain a disciplined daily routine. Working alongside two full-time nannies, duties will include scheduling and taking the children to appointments/sports lessons, supporting with homework and extracurricular activities, liaising with household staff on their meal plans, scheduling social meet-ups with friends, and creating enriching activities for the children to take part in. This is a holistic position for a hands-on, extremely experienced Governess/Nanny to play an incredibly important role in the lives of both children.
Our client is looking for an emotionally mature individual, who will take a strong interest in the children and have the ability to connect with them on an emotional level. The successful candidate should be able to engage the children in activities and teach them good work ethics and time management. You will be patient, but firm, especially when assisting the younger boy with schoolwork.
This is a live-in or live-out position with accommodation provided in a beautiful, large en-suite bedroom overlooking the garden on the 4th floor. Working hours would generally be 15:00 – 19:30, Monday to Friday, with flexibility required over school holidays and weekends.
DUTIES TO INCLUDE, BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:
• Scheduling all aspects of the children’s lives
• Taking the children to activities and play dates
• Engaging the children in educational activities with a focus on creative tasks
• Liaising with the household staff/nannies with regards to meal plans
• Helping the 9-year-old boy with school work and homework
• Managing the children’s social schedule
• Travelling with the family – UK and internationally
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
• Prior private Governess/Nanny experience caring for similar aged children
• A professionally trained Nanny or Governess would be beneficial
• Patient, robust and caring nature
• Organised and meticulous with managing schedules
• Happy to be flexible
• Valid DBS check
• Cool, super confident and fun with a sense of humour
• Highly responsible and reliable
• Excellent English
• Brilliant checkable references
