Role: Live In or Live Out Nanny
Care for: Boy’s 5 years, 3 years & Girl of 10 months
Days/Hours: Monday - Friday, 7am - 6.30 /7pm live in or 7.30am -6.30pm live out
Location: Summertown Oxford, OX2
Salary: £12 - £14 per hour net on qualification skills & experience
Start: May / June, 2022

We are seeking a qualified, developmentally focused fun nanny to help care for a Boy’s 5 years, 3 years & Girl of 10 months. This position can be live in or live out and is to take over from a much loved nanny who has been with the family for over two years and is leaving to start teacher training.

They would like a fun, engaging nanny, proactive, creative nanny who is knowledgeable of EYFS and dedicated to the care of children. Montessori, NVQ level 3, Cache Level 3 in childcare or an early years degree along with nanny experience is essential. Working in partnership with the mum this is a mix of Sole and Shared charge caring for the children as the mother is very busy working on a project. They nanny a nanny who will be fully responsible for engaging the children’s interests, planning and arranging activities, playdates, liaising with school/ nursery and supporting the older child with homework and anything else related to the children. There is a full time housekeeper to assist with laundry, cleaning the children's rooms and some cooking but the nanny will need to manage the children, rooms, clothing, uniforms, equipment and toys.

The hours are 7am to 6.30 /7pm live in or 7.30am -6.30pm live out, Monday to Friday. A driver is not essential but would be an advantage. As the family travel during school holidays to various exotice locations including the Caribbean, States, Europe, they need a nanny who is enthusiastic to travel and will be flexible to come with them as and when needed. Excellent communication skills are essential along with a genuine interest in developing a strong rapport with children. They would love a nanny who is creative and active who will encourage and extend the children's interests and hobbies as they develop them.

This lovely family is interviewing now to find a nanny to join them in May or June.

Nanny Duties

Nursery duties - maintaining the childrens rooms, clothing, equipment & toy’s.
Cooking fresh and healthy meals for the children shared with the housekeeper and mother
Engaging with the nursery /school, school runs and pickups.
Planning activities , outing’s and playdates for the children
Children’s admin including appointments, booking club’s, sorting their wardrobes and similar.
Supporting homework, home learning, literacy and encouraging a love of learning in the children.
Travel with the family as required.

To be considered for this role you must:

Have 5+ years’ professional experience with children
Be qualified with NVQ level 3, Cache Level 3 in childcare or have an early years degree.
Be highly educated and preferably degree qualified
Have excellent contactable references
Be fluent in English language and literacy
A driver is an advantage but now essential.
Possess (or be willing to get) an up to date DBS check
