Daily or Live in Nanny in Hendon, London NW4

We are looking on behalf of a lovely family based in NW4, for a nurturing, upbeat, engaging, energetic Nanny to care for a boy of 4 years and any siblings which may come later. The family wants a nanny who can provide a balance between being creative, developmentally focused and fun, while being active, sporty and safely conscious. Professional childcare qualifications are an advantage. More important is a love of caring for children, eagerness to commit, natural rapport with children and ability to work in partnership with parents even if the role is generally sole charge.

As the family hopes to add to their family in the near future, baby experience would be an advantage or an interest in caring for a baby along with a willingness to do additional maternity nanny training before any new baby arrives. Fluent English is essential and an ability to speak French would be an advantage.

They also need a candidate who is highly organised, proactive with plenty of initiative, excellent communication and is happy to work in an informal home environment alongside parents, a full time housekeeper and cleaner. The family are looking for a long term nanny who is genuinely looking to commit.

Accommodation for a live-in nanny will be a separate flat rented for the nanny nearby. The live-in hours are 7am - 7pm with 1 evening babysit included between Monday -Thursday by arrangement. The family would love a nanny who enjoys cooking and is happy to cook extra for the parents if they are around. A driver is helpful but not essential. The nanny will be required to travel with the family up to 6 weeks a year.

They would like a nanny to start fairly immediately but are happy to wait for notice for their perfect candidate.

Nanny Duties

Nursery duties - maintaining the childrens rooms, clothing, equipment & toy’s.
Cooking fresh and healthy meals including extra for parents if the are home
Batch cooking extra to freeze
Engaging with the pre school, school runs and pickups.
Planning activities , outing’s and playdates for the child
Children’s admin including appointments, booking club’s, sorting their wardrobes and similar.
Support development and encouraging a love of learning
Travel with the family up to 6 weeks a year

To be considered for this role you must:

Have 5+ years’ professional experience with children
Be highly educated and preferably degree qualified
Have excellent contactable references
Be fluent in English language and literacy
Possess (or be willing to get) an up to date DBS check
Comply with households covid policy
