Job Summary: Family with B3 are looking for a live-in nanny to join them and be with them at their home in Camden and travel with them when they go overseas for holidays and work. This role will include all housekeeping duties and will be plenty of time to keep on top of this during the day when B3 is at nursery and school. The family are looking for someone passionate about childcare and sees it as a career, not just a job.

Working Days & hours: Monday – Friday when not travelling or on a project, can include weekend work during these times. Approx. 40 hours per week when based in London and not travelling, would require more hours and flexibility when travelling or working on a project and some weekends days. Two-nights babysitting included. Anything over 40 hours and two nights babysitting will be paid as overtime, even if some of these hours are just spent travelling.

Accommodation: In London, separate entrance on ground floor of house, own room and bathroom. Could put a kettle and small fridge in so you can make cup of tea/breakfast in morning/on weekends or also happy to install a kitchenette. There is also a small study/office on this level that you are welcome to use to relax, have downtime away from room. Accommodation provided when travelling with the family.

General duties:

All childcare for B3, drop offs and pickups, maintaining his routine and schedule
Cooking, able to make meals for B3 and a couple of meals a week for the whole family/take initiative and make some batch meals when family are super busy. The family love cooking as well and will share meals they make. Nutritious and organic meals where possible. Largely sugar-free and lots of fruit and vegetables.
Contributing to development and milestones for B3 and helping with homework as he gets older
Taking B3 on outings, play dates, activities, classes, sports, museum, park etc.
Bath and bedtime
Proxy-parenting when required
Maintaining a good standard of cleanliness in the house during the week. Family has a cleaner for deep cleaning but need to keep on top of it day to day. Surfaces clean, rubbish put out, vacuum/sweep, occasionally help with a dinner party for example, if it was a working day.
Keep all toys and books tidy and put items away after activities at home with B3.
Laundry and ironing for family.
Grocery shopping for family, keeping basic items stocked. Errands for parents, post, dropping off documents, receiving post. Letting tradespeople into house and generally helping with the running of the home.

Candidate requirements:

Experience with toddler and pre-school age
Calm and friendly candidate, ‘life throws lots of things our way, calmness and a “can-do” attitude is key’.
Speak another language, ideally Spanish. Will consider French, Portuguese or Arabic
Driver is a bonus, not essential
Someone who will work hard to earn parents and child’s total trust – they want someone who will be part of the family and be there for each other.
A loving, fun, and supportive nanny
The candidate needs to be really proactive, always seeing how they can help and has a natural sense for what needs doing.
Someone who is always discrete and respectful in terms of giving space. With live-in and sharing a house, respect goes both ways and the family will always respect your space and time off but hope for the same in return.
