Accommodation: self contained cottage in the garden next to the house. The cottage has a kitchen and bathroom and living area and bedroom.
Duties: Professional and highly experienced Nanny is required to provide sole charge of two children, working in a single parent household. Mum will be around but is keen to find a nanny who is very confident to take charge and initiative, plan the children's day and communicate their progress to her.
The nanny is to help with school runs, after school activities, bath time and bedtime.
The nanny will need to be self motivated to make plans and come up with ideas of activities and things to do with the girls as the family will be living in a rural area surrounded by lovely walks and farmland. The nanny will also be expected to take care of the children's laundry, mealtimes, and maintaining a clean and tidy bedroom. They will need to get all school bags prepared and help with school drops offs and generally getting the girls from A to B when needed. An animal lover is required as the family will likely get a dog in the future.
Confident driver essential due to the remote location - the area is approx 20 mins drive from the beach , 2 hours drive from London (and approx 1 hour 20 mins train to central London).
The family value the following things for their children: being outdoors, reading/board games/puzzles, baking and helping to cook their own meals, using their imagination, limiting screen time, good manners, clear boundaries, very rigid bed time (7pm lights out), arts and reading.
The eldest will be attending full time school (8.20 - 3.30pm) and the youngest will be in a local nursery 4 mornings per week and from January 2022, 5 full days.
