An exciting opportunity has arisen in Victoria Park Village (South Hackney) taking care of one child (aged 11 months) starting July!

Job Summary: A family of three are seeking a caring, energetic and proactive daily nanny for their 11-month-old child on a sole charge basis. The family are looking for an enthusiastic candidate who is experienced in supporting busy working parents. The nanny is to be punctual and reliable, with strong communication skills and a positive disposition. This is to be coupled with the belief that a child’s early life should include varied stimulation, and should be filled with kindness, positivity, and consistent engagement and encouragement. The family are also keen to work with someone who has a genuine interest in early childhood development and who will aim to apply this interest to help the child develop into a happy, confident, and resilient person during this formative period.

Duties

Caring for the child within the home as well as attending regular activities in the local community with the child, including, for example, visits to the park, the zoo, and infant/toddler playgroups.
Seeking out activities to help the child reach important developmental milestones, such as frequent reading, “serve-and-return” play, outdoor activities, social activities, cooking, painting, and crafting of all kinds.
Preparing healthy, varied meals and snacks for the child.
General childcare duties, such as changing nappies, cleaning and sterilising bottles, washing and dressing the child, preparing the child for bed, maintaining a nap routine, washing/tidying up after the child’s meals and messy play activities, and ensuring the child’s safety at all times.

Candidate requirements:

The nanny is to be caring, punctual and reliable, with strong communication skills and a positive disposition
Career Nanny or Junior Nanny that has experience and demonstrates longevity within roles
Preference for candidates with a demonstrable interest in early childhood development/psychology, for example through coursework or prior experience
