A family from Nether Alderley , Cheshire are searching for a new nanny to join them with full time childcare for their 11 year old twins , 13 year old and 8 year old sons. They are a very family orientated household with lots of land, and two miniature daschunds .They hire a part time cleaner and a part time gardener.
Their ideal nanny would be someone who is confident working with children, firm but fair and happy to help the family as a whole. Able to manage routines, child behaviour and sensitive to their needs. Level-headed and calm with a good helping of common sense.
Main Duties;
Quality childcare and child-related duties; coordinating the boys' schedule, planning and coordinating child-related events, researching, recommending and registering the appropriate child/children for age-appropriate activities like classes, summer camps and sports, scheduling medical appointments, maintaining health records, etc.
Working with the parents, setting behavioural guidelines & providing discipline when appropriate, together with providing social and intellectual stimulation to the children
Undertake age appropriate activities, to include; cooking for fun, arts and crafts, age appropriate outings, taking them to swimming lessons, holiday camps, the boys are sporty and enjoy hockey and cricket along with crafting and reading.
Pick up from school as required (or from after school clubs). When one parent is away, there may be the requirement to drop the children off at school in the morning.
Work with the children to ensure that all their homework is completed on time and to an acceptable standard.
Washing and ironing all children’s clothing to ensure that, at all times, school clothing is available for the next day. Weekly washing the children’s bedding in time for the ironing service to pick up each week.
Additional duties will include:
Help With Party Planning. May be expected to help plan the children’s parties including generate the invitation, plan the menu, and devise the games or to write thank you cards on the children’s behalves for gifts that are received at their parties.
Gift Shopping: When birthdays or holidays roll around, shop for gifts to give to the children and their friends on the children’s behalves. This may include wrapping and distributing the gifts.
Cleaning the house – Vacuum, dust and wipe clean those areas used by the children on a daily basis as required – The family has a cleaner who comes twice a week so it really is making sure the house is maintained in a clean state for the sake of the children. Children’s toys should be put away at the end of each day.
Cooking - Share in the cooking of nutritional meals for the children. Working with the parents to ensure the children’s palettes are broad.
Shopping for the household groceries and children's clothing and name tagging (as required)
There will also be the requirement to go on an annual summer holiday with the family in the Uk or abroad up to a maximum of 4 weeks.
There will be also occasional proxy parenting required when parents are away but notice of this will be given in advance and will be no longer than 10 days duration.

• 5 full days per week, 9.30am- 6.30pm with a regular paid break during the day.

• Annual salary depending on nanny experience circa £38,000
• At least 5 years nanny experience
