Full time Nanny in Hampstead, London

We are looking for a warm, supportive, hardworking, and outdoorsy FULL-TIME nanny to help a family who are moving to live in London from China at the end of August. They are looking for an experienced nanny to care for their baby boy who will be 9 months at the start of the job and their 5.5-year-old daughter. Ideally the nanny is open minded and is interested in the family’s culture and even open to learning some Mandarin words and Chinese cuisine to make their transition easier.

Ideally you have cared for both babies and school age children, so you have lots of confidence and experience. The role will mainly be focussed on the baby as their daughter will be at school but they would like support with her in school holidays and so you must be able to work with both age groups. They would love to find an active, outdoorsy nanny who is happy to work closely with the parents and teach their children to have lovely manners and be independent little people.

The baby is in a good routine and sleeps for around 3 hours each day and during this time they would like their nanny to be happy to muck in with nanny duties, some batch cooking, general organisation and tidying of the children’s things. A UK driving licence would be a plus as well as a Mandarin speaker, and it is essential you speak a fluent level of English.

They would like a nanny who lives close to NW3, but they have not confirmed the exact location they will be living in although their daughter will attend school in Hampstead, so they want to live very close to the school if possible. If you are very familiar with the local area this would be a bonus so you can help them to get settled in.

LOCATION: Hampstead, NW3

START: September 2022

DAYS: Monday to Friday

HOURS: TOTAL = Approx. 50-52.5 PER WEEK
7.30/8 am – 6 pm

PAY: £18+ gross per hour depending on experience

EXPERIENCE: minimum of 8 years nannying experience with babies from 9 months and toddlers, plus school age children. You need to be able to support with weaning, potty training and continuing/adapting routines as the baby get older. It is preferable if you have worked with two children before, so you understand the role and be confident to have sole charge. Be confident to offer advice and support to the parents. Longevity in previous roles is preferred.

DUTIES:
• Sole charge of all both children at times
• Cook fresh healthy meals for the children, sometimes parents
• Take the baby for daily walks and fresh air
• Stimulate their social development through conversation and play
• Follow and establish routines e.g., sleep times, bath time
• All nursery duties and keep all children areas tidy and organised (they will have a cleaner that comes to do deep cleaning).
• Stimulate through play, music, books, art
• Sometimes take daughter to school or afternoon activities and pick up.
