About the job

This busy international family is looking for someone to join their team caring for boys aged 12 and 13.
Both parents work full time, with Dad travelling about 50% of his time and Mum travelling around 10% of her time. The parents try and plan their trips at different times, but you will be required to proxy parent from time to time.

You will generally be responsible for getting the boys up and ready for school, dealing with school runs, overseeing their homework, organising their schedules, liaising with tutors as well as standard duties such as keeping their areas neat and tidy, dealing with their laundry and prepping their meals.
The parents would like you to instill good manners in the children, concentrating on their etiquette and ensuring they are smart and presentable at all times. Ideally you will speak French or Spanish as a 2nd language as the parents would like to develop the boy’s language skills. They are currently in the American school and are taught in English.

You will also take on some house management duties such as overseeing their part time cleaners, gardeners and handymen, and dealing with the grocery shop.

You will generally work Monday to Friday, 7am to 9pm with a break during the day whilst the boys are at school. You will also be required to work up to 20 weekends per year when the parents travel.

The family own a poodle that the children will care for, but you will need to oversee this and step in to help from time to time.

You will have your own bedroom and en-suite bathroom in the house. The family plan to build a separate annex on the property which will eventually become your private space.

The ideal candidate will be able to speak English as well as French or Spanish, have a teaching background and be highly organised and efficient.

Driver is required and you will have use of the staff car when on duty – this car is shared with other members of the team.
