English speaking Nanny in Reykjavik, Iceland

A lovely family expecting their first baby in January 2022 are looking for their baby nanny to start in March 2022. The person sought should be caring and compassionate, hardworking and has high standards to work delivered as well as a good presentation. Independent, will be easily able to adapt to Icelandic society and culture due to previous experience in Nordic country or simply an open-mindedness and ability to navigate and adapt to new countries. If not the case, the family will do its best to provide time and care for the nanny comfortability also. Expected to be loyal and keep promises that are made. They are looking to establish a potential long-term bond with her, which means that emotional intelligence is key; the nanny shall be insightful, communicative and willing to provide the best conditions for our clients' family and child to be comfortable.

Job description:
Live-out Nanny (the family can help with the relocation if the nanny isnt already based in Iceland)
6 months - 2 years
Proposed start date: March 2022
Days of work: 5
Hours of work: 3-8 hours daily
Number and ages of children: 1 Newborn (due mid-Jan 2022)

Brief outline of duties:
Taking care of newborn when needed during the day and/or evenings. House chores; cleaning, organizing, washing clothes. We’d prefer for her to be mobile; meaning to be able to drive, do grocery shopping, dry-cleaner, and run errands. House chores also includes occasional cooking, whereby Isabella will teach her some dishes, if relevant. Flexible working hours, meaning sometimes she will take care of baby for a few hours during day, whilst sometimes during evenings. Accompanying the family during travel may be relevant.

Preferred skills:
Experience with newborns and toddlers.
Specific/essential skills and qualifications required:
A driver’s license which is approved in Iceland.
Languages required: English required. Any additional language including Mandarin, Danish or Icelandic would be a plus.

Salary gross per annum:
GBP 55,000 gross
