Job summary: Swiss/Dutch family need an experienced nanny for their baby due in June 2022. The nanny will start in August and needs to commit for a year. They want to have a nanny hired and a contract signed before the baby is born.

They would like the nanny to work Tuesday - Saturday but are also happy if the nanny prefers to work Monday - Friday. The hours will be 9 - 6pm.

Experience and qualifications required: Minimum of four years childcare experience which must include experience with babies of similar age. You must be confident and knowledgeable about newborn care.

The Mum has her own business so will be slowly returning to work in August. From September 2022 the job will be sole charge apart from on Monday’s as the Mum is off work and the Dad works from home so they will be around.

The Mum is organised and appreciates a clean, tidy and well organised house. Both parents have very busy jobs so this job will suit a nanny who is happy to support the family.

This job will suit a nanny who is experienced with introducing and following routines. They are keen that the baby follows a routine. The parents are happy for you to organise playdates, take the baby to local classes, activities and on trips. Thinking ahead and having a plan for the week is important.

Key qualities are being organised, warm, a love for animals, social and a strong communicator.

Duties: The nanny will be responsible for all standard nursery duties, loading and unloading the dishwasher, doing groceries and occasionally running errands. They would like the nanny to cook for the baby when they are weaning onto solids. In general they don’t eat much meat at home so it’s handy if you are familiar with vegetarian recipes. They don’t mind the baby having fish or meat. They have a cleaning lady once a week and a daily dog walker. If you are happy to take the dog for a walk it would be appreciated but not required.

Skills required: This is a Dutch, French and English speaking household. You must speak fluent English. They live in the city centre so you don’t need to drive or cycle a bakfiets.

Agency requirements: Applicants must have an EU passport or already have a permit or visa for the Netherlands. Applicants need a minimum of three years of full-time professional childcare experience, valid pediatric first aid, and a recent police check to register.
