Perfect role for a social, active nanny

Hours: 10 - 5 pm or 11 - 6 pm (35 per week)
Salary: €2426 - 3488 (negotiable depending on experience)

An American family who just relocated to the Netherlands seeks a very proactive, loving nanny for their 10-month-old.

The 10-month-old sleeps well, is actively crawling, and is very curious. He usually takes two naps a day and enjoys being around other children. He eats a wide variety of food. Preparing his meals will be part of the nanny's duties. The parents want him to experience the world. They are keen for him to explore within safe boundaries. He has a daily routine for sleeping and eating. In between naps and meal times they would love the nanny to organize activities for the baby including playdates, local classes, storytimes, attending playgroups, trips to the park, zoo, etc (Covid dependent). A nanny who prioritizes the child's social development is vital for this role. Outside play is also important.

Ideal candidates are punctual, motivated towards providing a varied activity schedule for the baby, fun, and enthusiastic. Being adaptable and having a confident personality is vital. Being familiar with the Montessori approach is great but not a requirement.

They are happy to discuss the exact hours with the nanny. If the nanny wants extra hours on the weekend every so often they are happy to arrange this.

The dad will be working out of the house a few days a week within the next few months. The Mum will be around but this is a sole charge role. She is planning on returning to work. They are currently living in a temporary apartment, they will be looking for a long-term apartment in Willemspark/Vondelpark area. They have a clear and direct communication approach. They would like to work with a nanny with a collaborative approach.

No screen time for the baby when the nanny is on duty.

This is a non-smoking household.

Requirements:
Language: English, another language is a bonus either Dutch, Spanish, Portuguese, or French
Experienced required: Minimum of three years, previous experience working with a baby as a nanny

Bakfiets: Will be access to electric bakfiets
Duties: All childcare duties including meal prep, tidying, and laundry

Agency requirements: Applicants need a minimum of three years of full-time professional childcare experience, valid pediatric first aid, and a recent police check to register.
