About the job
A French family, having lived in London for the past 15 years, and returning to France soon, is currently looking for a native English-speaking nanny to start on August 30th.
The family will be living in the 16th or 7th arrondissement of Paris, close to the OCDE headquarter.
The nanny will be responsible for three children, a 7-year-old boy soon entering CE1, a 4½-year-old girl in maternelle and a 5-month-old baby. It is therefore essential that the nanny has experience with babies.
Both parents are working and the mother, currently on maternity leave, will resume work on September the 7th. This will give the nanny a week of adaptation with the mother.
The children, having been educated in the British system, are bilingual and the parents want them to continue to deepen their learning of English. The nanny will also be responsible for speaking English to the baby in a fun and educative way.
One of the parents will drop the children off at school in the morning and the nanny will have to take care of the 5-month-old girl on a daily basis, the two oldest will be staying in the canteen for lunch.
The nanny will undertake all the usual nanny duties. She will also be in charge of accompanying the children to their various activities (especially on Wednesdays), going to the park, meals, baths and small errands relating to the children's needs.
The nanny will have to show initiative and will know how to occupy the little baby girl with various and varied activities in order to promote her awakening and her daily personal development according to her age, as well as activities relating to the elderly.
The nanny will be responsible for the upkeep of the children's areas, their bedrooms and their clothes.
The nanny will work Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., i.e. 10 hours per day / 50 hours per week. However, some flexibility on the part of the nanny will be appreciated.
A cleaner will be responsible for all the needs relating to the parents and the family home.
The nanny will be entitled to 5 weeks of paid holidays per year.
Please, only apply if you hold an EU passport or if you already have the right to work in France.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., or 10 hours a day.
Accommodation: Live-out.
Salary: €3,500 net per month.
