A great rota opportunity for our Spanish nannies
We have a returning client with an amazing rota role for an experienced Spanish-speaking nanny with extensive international travel.
This is a rotational position providing 24-hour coverage for 2-3 weeks on and 2-3 weeks off. The schedule can be subject to change depending on the needs of the family, and always agreed upon in advance. The position will be live-in during on weeks and live-out during off weeks, with private accommodations provided at each location during on weeks. The family is offering a competitive compensation package, and they are open to discussing additional benefits such as assistance with healthcare as needed. The position will begin as soon as they find the perfect fit!
The ideal nanny is experienced, youthful and energetic, as she will be taking care of a 3.5-year-old little boy. The boy has a little sibling aged 7 months who is cared for by a maternity nurse and he will continue doing so until the summer. After the maternity leaves, you will also care for the baby and, in turn, the older child will start nursery on a part time basis.
The ideal candidate is has initiative, and has deep knowledge about child development. Moreover, you will be resourceful and plan age appropriate and fun activities to help the children thrive and learn.
The nanny must be happy working within a team environment as there are 2 other nannies there to help with the boys and you will rarely have them both on your own. However, confidence is key and you should be comfortable handling them both on your own as well. This a fully staffed household with housekeepers and chefs so childcare will be your sole responsibility.
Salary: 80-85K euros gross per year and 6 round trips a year.
Responsibilities
Create a stimulating, nurturing, and safe environment for the child to grow and thrive
Collaborate with parents and the rest of the nanny team to ensure consistent continuity of care
Plan enriching activities beyond basic care with an emphasis on reaching developmental milestones
Support a varying daily schedule and become an asset to the family when traveling or spending time with family and friends
Be proactive in communicating with parents to ensure their needs are being met
Work seamlessly with the other nanny to ensure a seamless hand-off in the rotational schedule
Pitch in to the overall tidiness of the home and child-related household duties (i.e. cleaning toys, children's laundry, meal preparation, etc.)
Qualifications
Extensive international nanny experience .
A valid passport
A deep knowledge of developmental milestones
5+ years of childcare experience
Proficient level of English both spoken and written
Spanish mother tongue
Previous experience in similar settings
Education qualifications
Step in and step out intuition
A collaborative team player
Excellent communication skills
Flexible and able to travel frequently during your weeks on
Flexible to adjust to schedule changes as discussed in advance
Hygiene and safety-oriented
