Job Summary: Native German speaking Nanny required for family in Switzerland. An international family living near Zürich Switzerland is looking for a nanny to join their family in a long-term capacity. They have 2 daughters (ages 4 & 6.5) and are expecting twins in March. The older girls are at school during the day so this role would be primarily for the twins. Initially, while the twins are young and the mother is breastfeeding and at home, the mother would like to lead and have a nanny on hand to assist with the babies, meal prep, older children, light cleaning, and household tasks as needed. After the first year, the role would transition to more of a childcare role for the twins only. The family employs a cleaner and a part-time nanny for the older children as well. The ideal candidate would be someone who loves children, is responsible, energetic, organized, and flexible and looking for a long-term position.
Accommodation: Live Out nearby preferred, Live in Possible (separate bedroom and bathroom) for first 6 months
Working Days & hours: Monday-Friday 40/45 hours per week 7.00/7.30-4.30/5.00. Flexible hours may be required. And occasional Saturday working is necessary on an ad hoc basis. Part time candidates would be considered for the perfect candidate
General duties:
Providing a loving, safe, stimulating and happy environment for our children
Organizing weekly schedules to support age appropriate learning and development as well as social activities and playdates outside the home
Taking the children outside daily (stroller walks, playing in the garden, local playgrounds, etc.)
Helping to keep the house tidy: cleaning up after children, organizing toys, children’s bedrooms and clothes etc.
Occasionally driving older kids to and from school and accompanying to after school activities
Preparation of healthy meals and snacks (family is vegan)
Candidate requirements:
Experienced with babies (twins a plus) and willing to help the older children as needed
Native German or Swiss-German speaker essential as you will be solely speaking German with the children
energetic, reliable, professional, organized, proactive and with good time management
comfortable swimmer (not required, but preferred) – family lives on a lake and has a swimming pool
comfortable skier (not required, but preferred) – family has a Swiss chalet they stay at during most winter weekends and holidays
Non smoker
Driving license essential, clean record and confident driver (car is provided)
EU, UK or CH Passport essential
