German speaking Nanny in Leyton, London

Kind and energetic, loving German speaking nanny needed for our happy 11 month old baby boy.

Responsibilities
• Organise activities and educational games while ensuring his safety indoors and outdoors
• Speak and play with him in German to encourage his language acquisition
• Basic childcare: prepare meals, change nappies, run baths
• Transport baby to and from extracurricular activities e.g. baby sensory class
• Tidy up play areas, room and ensure high chair is clean
• Take care of the baby in case of injury or illness
• Perform light housekeeping tasks as needed e.g. empty dishwasher /run washing machine (we have a cleaner so extensive housekeeping is not required)

Requirements
• Completely fluent German
• Previous experience as a Nanny or Babysitter
• Ability to come up with creative ideas to educate and engage children
• Multitasking skills
• A kind and patient personality

Desirable qualifications
• Further training /experience in child development
• Availability to babysit in the evenings occasionally
• A clean driving licence
• First aid certification

Five days per week, ideally ten hours per day (50 hours per week). There is flexibility in hours as this is based on an assumption of a daily commute and we are very likely to have the ability to work from home sometimes. So candidates unable to work as much as 50 hours should still apply.

Our perfect nanny will be a German speaker who is genuinely interested in supporting our baby's development, who is affectionate and kind but sets boundaries. There are lots of baby classes around our area of East London and we live on the edge of the Olympic park so we hope the nanny would be interested in getting out and about with the baby. We all speak fluent German in the household so the nanny does not necessarily need fluent English. We have a very warm relationship with our existing maternity nurse and hope to replicate this with our future nanny.
