Bilingual Governess needed in Notting Hill, London

A family well recommended to us is seeking a live-in (or live-out if close by) nanny/governess for the care and education of their children G8, B5 and B 1 ½. The family reside in Notting Hill, London.

The ideal candidate will be an educated and experienced nanny who has at least 4 years previous experience working in private homes and those which are fully staffed as teamwork will be essential in this role.

The family is kind, warm and welcoming and seeking a nanny who can join them and become like a member of the family. The ideal candidate will be organised, fun, active and flexible. The family travel frequently, mostly within Europe and to the USA, therefore a candidate who enjoys travel as part of their role is preferred. The successful candidate will plan and implement fun and age-appropriate activities inside and outside of the home as well as offer homework assistance when needed. Read to and with the children. A driver is not essential as the children’s schools are very close by, however it is preferred,

The family speak Russian and English at home and will consider candidates who are fluent in English with another language in Russian, French or Spanish whereby you can work with the children to improve their language skills.

The children are well-rounded, happy, and polite and are very good with newcomers. The girl aged 8 enjoys arts and crafts and attends a ballet school three times per week. Their son aged 5 is highly academic and enjoys playing football and Jujitsu.

The baby boy aged 1 ½ years is in a good routine and is already very independent, he feeds himself and is potty trained already.

The parents understand the need for the children to have down time and would like a candidate who can arrange playdates with friends, fun outings and nice relaxed activities at the home.

They have a pet dog, a poodle which is hypoallergenic. The have a staffed household whereby you will be working with a group of staff who enjoy their time with the family.

The working days will be 5 weekly, Saturday, Sunday, and three days during the week which can be mutually agreed. The working hours will be from 11am – 8pm daily. The salary is from £800 - £1000 net per week depending on experience and qualifications. A trial will be offered before a permanent contract is signed to ensure both the family and the nanny have a mutually good understanding and feel that a long-term agreement would be successful.

There is a room within the house if you prefer to live-in with adequate privacy.

Requirements:

Fluent English-speaker (bonus languages, Russian, French, or Spanish)

Package:

Salary is £800-£1000 net per week
