After talking with this first-time mum, you will instantly know you have found a great employer. Their soon to be 10-month-old son is described as happy, smiley and a dream to be around. Full time Spanish speaker is required to care for him in a sole charge role just a 10-minute walk from Victoria station !

Job Summary: This is a lovely family to work for, mum is American, and dad is Spanish, they have been fortunate to have had a lovely nanny since their son was 4 months old but due to her very long and challenging commute sadly, she is leaving. The parents are keen for their son to speak Spanish and are looking for a bilingual nanny. Both parents work full time, mum some from a sperate home office. Although new parents they are not nervous and love for their nanny to take the lead and are open to any suggestions you may have. Their son has been exposed to play dates, outings, and outdoor activities which they are keen to have the new nanny continue, in addition to a mix of indoor activities to help with his development now that he is older.

General duties:

Sole charge care
Normal housekeeping duties related to their son
Preparing healthy meals- he is a good eater and trying new foods
Planning play dates and researching local classes that are age appropriate
Providing a safe and stimulating environment to aid in his development
Working with words and numbers -speaking in Spanish
On occasion proxy parenting and babysitting
Potential to travel on a family holiday
Communication with the parents on their sons needs and working as a team to achieve them

Candidate requirements:

It is essential that you are fluent in Spanish and English, the parents are keen for their son to be bi lingual ( one set of grandparents do not speak English)
Experience working with babies and toddlers
An upbeat personality who is active (the home has several levels) and enjoys being outside but equally can plan activities and games that are based in the home
A creative nanny who will look for fun things to do that will aid in the little boy’s development
Ability to babysit, proxy parent and travel on a family holiday on occasion
Good communication- will work in a team to provide the best care for their son

DBS check required at offer stage

Salary: Up to £13 net per hour, £ 53,017 gross per year)
